After praying, manifesting, working, and waiting, the journey to becoming a doula began, and now, I am here to support you as your start your parenting journey. I am Brittany— the daughter of Sharon, the daughter of Janice. I come from a lineage of women who were not gifted a divine labor of peace and intention that was—and still is— their birthright. While my journey to being a doula has not been a straight path, it is the path that has led me here— to you. I have been an inner city educator and speech-language pathologist for the NYC Department of Education since 2019. However, I have known that children and motherhood were my passions since the days of my youth. As a Black Woman, I know that children and mothers of color face a system that was designed to disregard their well-being.
